Marquee Heating

Climate UK has two types of heating systems that can be used in our marquees.

marquee gas heatersThe first type and the most popular is the patio style heater, these are free standing and don’t need any electric supply or any connections. The heater works very well in cold weather.

The ones that Climate UK use are American industrial heaters, white in colour and throw out a fair amount of heat. They use 13kg or 19kg industrial Propane gas bottles. The bottle of gas usually lasts 10 to 12 hours, so plenty of warmth for your evening party. If your party is going to last longer, we can supply additional gas bottles.

We will also explain fitting instructions on site. For your convenience, each heater has written operating instructions clearly marked on the front panel - they are very easy to follow. The heaters are made of metal and are very strong, they have a large heavy flat base which make the heater very sturdy and are impossible to fall over unless deliberately pushed.

The heaters have been made to a specified height and will fit in all of our marquees. The heaters are normally placed towards the centre line of the marquee so that the canopy type heat reflector doesn’t come in contact with the marquee material.

Our team can advise you on how many patio type heaters you need to heat different size marquees and where approximately you should position them. Fire extinguishers are provided as standard with every heater supplied.

Electric Heating For Your Marquee

marquee electric heatersThe second type of heaters are electric which are specifically made for marquees. We run an extension cable from the unit into your electric system fitted to a normal plug socket in your house. These electric marquee heaters are mounted on the upright legs of our marquees. Direct heat travels from the inside outer region towards the middle of the marquee. The electric marquee Heaters work out cheaper to hire because they use your electricity, each heater uses just 1kw per hour!

The electric marquee heaters take up less space than the gas patio type heaters. Most small marquees only need 1 or 2 electric heaters, depending on weather conditions. The bigger marquees would require more units.

Our team can advise on your heating requirements at the time of booking. We would recommend that electric heaters are used is you are booking a marquee with lining.

The heaters are mounted on metal poles which are safely positioned away from the delicate marquee lining.

*We would not recommend gas patio heaters with any of our lined marquees. As an additional safety precaution we also provide a fire extinguisher with all of our heaters.
